Deep Trance Channeler Réné Gaudette has been on a personal journey of self-awareness, enlightenment and growth since 1987. Following a near-death experience as the result of a snowmobile accident in February, 1989, Réné realized his life was about to take a major turn as childhood memories began to resurface and he re-awakened his deep trance psychic abilities. As he later recalled, his parents had taken him, at the age of three, to see a psychiatrist because he was always "talking in his sleep." At age five, he told his father that "he wanted to go to sleep and get paid for it."

The Wonders first came to wider public attention in 1997, when Réné and Maggie began holding public channeling sessions at The Omega Centre of Enlightenment, Toronto's pre-eminent New Age bookstore and meeting place. Although always insightful, sessions at the outset were general in nature, with no specific theme, and were largely devoted to answering personal questions from the audience.

From that more-general starting point, however, interest in The Wonders grew and, within two years, regular monthly study groups were operating both in Toronto and in London, Ontario. Study groups are now available through conference call three times a month with participants from all over the world. In addition, monthly intensive all-weekend workshops are held in Thornton to allow participants to study a particular topic of interest with The Wonders in far greater detail. Early workshops covered topics from "Sexuality and Spirituality" and "Control vs. Command" to "The Effects of Anger" and "The Interrelationship of Fear and Judgment." Workshops have moved from purely informational to more experiential, resulting in greater self-expansion of the participants.

In February, 2001, Réné, Maggie and The Wonders made their debut in the Sedona Journal of EMERGENCE!, published by Light Technology Publishing, who also published The Wonders' first book, "The Defining Statements of Existence."

They have also started their own publishing company, published two additional "Wonders" books and currently have the largest collection of channeled material since Edgar Cayce.
