I loved that story of the Belgian fans for sale. Hahahahaha! It injects some humour into a sport that is sometimes known for accompanying violence.

I do not think we will be without a (federal) government for 541 days, but I am sure glad I no longer work in Belgium...

Heading to the election office... since it is mandatory... not such a bad thing... at least, we do not face the risk of having only the extremists voting...

That is funny :

Only in Belgium though :

So it seems Smile

I just do not understand why they kept insisting on shooting on the US goal keeper so many times (27 attempts on target and 38 shots in total for a meager 2 goals)...

Maybe they were enjoying being there so much that they thought an additional 30 minutes would be even more fun ?

And maybe Kevin De Bruyne was enjoying being mistaken for prince Harry too much?

Anyway...

It was a real fun game to watch... and you have to admire the American spirit (though I would appreciate if they could stop the nonsense about boycotting Belgian waffles, etc – what you guys are eating are NOT Belgian waffles anyhow Rolling Eyes )

Haha, is that real about the waffles? lol. America can be a strange place.

I like seeing them lose personally. ESPECIALLY to Belgium Wink

Same topic : I have often "wondered" how I could translate some of The Wonders material, and I have always found the translation « weak » compared to the original.

I now believe this guy sums it best ( http://www.djbooth.net/index/news/entry/2015-03-31-who-is-stromae ) :

« He's able to connect with me despite speaking a completely different language. «

Interesting. Because once again, the subtitles are « weak » as far as I am concerned, they lose a lot of the original nuances, and yet...

I don't like crowds. This was only the second demonstration I have ever been to.

http://www.rtbf.be/info/regions/detail_arlon-une-marche-contre-la-fermeture-de-l-hopital-samedi-apres-midi?id=9010922

What I like is how everything (demonstrations included) is always much more relaxed and the atmosphere more friendly here in Arlon compared to Brussels or other places in Belgium.

By the way, do not go to Waterloo right now. Some so-called grown-ups are playing cowboys and indians all over the area ( https://www.waterloo2015.org/en ).

Maybe the fact that there were quite a few old people in the procession is one of the reasons it was so unagitated. None of them used any crutch to attack anyone else (that would have been good TV), and some of the couples were actually really cute.

On another note, I am told summer has begun... we celebrated by lighting a fire in our fireplace... we'll just blame the thickness of our walls, instead of some iceberg somewhere that cannot hold itself together because of some wild theory on global warming...

I should not have complained. Now we are getting 40°C.

Hopefully, there will be some nice rain during the retreat Wink
