He realized he has always waited for something to push against before he made a different choice. Whether it be a person, a circumstance, a crisis, or something else, he would wait for that to propel himself forward. But, is it necessary? What if that external impetus isn’t available? You don’t have to get angry to set boundaries

In this excerpt, Réné gives an example of what it means to set boundaries without anger or pushing against other people. You can still love yourself enough to set the boundary and express yourself honestly by not reacting to the other person. This way, you develop compassion for yourself and others.
